Thai Boy Abandoned by Drug-Addicted Mother Lives with Six Dogs
An 8-year-old boy in Laplae, Uthai Thani, Thailand, was discovered to have been living for years with six dogs in a filthy environment filled with drugs and garbage. His mother, a long-term drug addict, often roamed the streets, leaving the boy alone with the dogs and devoid of interaction with society. He has only learned to bark like a dog when he sees people.
The shocking case drew widespread attention, and the Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women conducted a rescue on June 30. The foundation's president, Pavena Hongsakul, described the heartbreaking scene: “He couldn’t speak; he only barked.” Following the rescue, the boy was placed in a local children's shelter where he will receive psychological counseling and educational resources to start anew.
