National Changhua University of Education and SUP Collaborate on 'Round Table' Exhibition to Promote Cross-Cultural Artistic Dialog

The 'Round Table: Encounters and Co-creation - Taiwan-UK Artist Residency and Cultural Exchange Program' exhibition, collaboratively organized by the National Changhua University of Education's Fine Arts Department and the UK cultural organization SUP, will be held from today (22) until June 8 at the Changhua Art Museum. It invites the public to experience the creative clashes and profound dialogues of artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.
The exhibition not only highlights the creative processes but also features discussions where resident artists and the curatorial team share their experiences during the exchange, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Changhua Mayor Lin Shih-hsien stated that this exhibition showcases the vitality of art education and reflects the efforts and achievements of Changhua in promoting international cultural exchanges.
The theme 'Round Table' symbolizes the spirit of equality and respect emphasized in the legend of King Arthur and resonates with Taiwan's traditional banquet culture, embodying the concepts of decentralization and co-creation in art. The curatorial team includes professors Wang Li-yen and Chang Hao-ning from the National Changhua University of Education, SUP's Taiwan Director Huang Yun-ting, and its lead Amit Rai Sharma.
Participating artists include Liu Zhengni from Latvia and Yang Yisun from the UK, with works from nine artists from the Changhua University of Education’s Fine Arts Department responding creatively to the exhibition theme, showcasing the rich results of cross-cultural exchanges. The curatorial team stated, 'Art is not only the result of creation but also a practice of cultural dialogue.'
