Trump Warns: iPhone to Face 25% Additional Tariff If Not Produced in the U.S.

In response to Apple's difficulty in relocating its iPhone production lines to the U.S., Trump stated that if iPhones cannot be manufactured domestically, an additional tariff of at least 25% will be imposed. He emphasized that iPhones should be produced in the U.S. instead of relying on countries like India.
Reports indicate that Trump has communicated with Apple CEO Tim Cook, asserting that even though an agreement has been reached for Apple to produce iPhones in India, high tariffs will still apply, thus raising the production costs for Apple. Currently, Apple has not commented on these statements.
Furthermore, Trump's tariff policy is not limited to Apple; all smartphone brands, including Samsung, must comply with the planned policy set to take effect in June, potentially increasing production costs for many brands.
