Two Fathers Argue Over Pokemon Game, One Returns with Machete to Threaten

In New Taipei City, a father named Chen brought his son to a Pokemon game machine and became upset when another child kept teasing his boy. After asking the other parent to better discipline their child, a verbal altercation ensued. The other father, Zheng, went home, retrieved a machete, and returned to threaten Chen.
Bystanders quickly intervened, restraining Zheng and seizing the weapon before calling the police. A local shopkeeper reported that a parent had entered the shop with a knife, requesting to leave it there until the police arrived. When officers reached the scene, they found both men had been embroiled in a heated argument over their children. Fortunately, no one was injured; however, Zheng faces charges for making threats.
