Trump Considers Redirecting Billions in Harvard Subsidies to Vocational Schools

U.S. President Donald Trump, after visiting a Whirlpool factory in Ohio in 2020, has entered a full-blown battle with Harvard University. He has initially removed federal funding from Harvard and is now planning to prohibit the university from accepting foreign students. On Monday (26th), he expressed on his platform, Truth Social, that he is considering reallocating the $30 billion originally given to Harvard to vocational schools across America.

Trump stated, "I am considering recovering $30 billion in funding from the anti-Semitic Harvard University and directing it to trade schools nationwide. This would be a fantastic investment for America, and it is so desperately needed!" Since taking office, Trump has emphasized "American manufacturing" as a priority, stating that both building new factories and operating existing ones require a large number of skilled workers. The decline of American manufacturing over the past few decades has led to a serious shortage of trained professionals.

Trump continued to attack Harvard’s acceptance of foreign students, suggesting there are many dangerous individuals among them who do not wish to disclose themselves to the U.S. government. He wrote, "We are still waiting for Harvard to provide the list of foreign students so that we can assess how many radicals and troublemakers should not enter our country after spending billions. Harvard has been slow to provide this information, possibly for good reason!"
