Europe Pushes for AI Advancement: Jensen Huang Speaks at UK and France Events to Capture Orders

In an effort to catch up with the U.S. and China in the AI sector, Europe has launched a €20 billion investment plan. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang seized the opportunity, recently appearing alongside UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the London Tech Week before flying to Paris for a talk. He emphasized the importance of establishing AI factories and showcased AI server products developed in collaboration with Taiwanese manufacturers.
Speaking in French, Huang addressed the audience, marking NVIDIA's first GTC event in France, which prominently featured several Taiwanese companies. The enterprise-grade AI servers, including RTX Pro servers, are supplied by companies such as Advantech, ASUS, Compal, Foxconn, and Inventec.
Huang stated that Europe is waking up to the significance of AI factories, expressing excitement over the ongoing events in Europe. The company aims to establish AI technology centers in seven different countries and is expected to have a major announcement with French President Emmanuel Macron later.
He presented a map of Europe that illustrates NVIDIA's plans to collaborate with various countries to create supercomputers and reiterated that AI has become a pivotal infrastructure that influences numerous industries. Huang's travels across the Middle East and Europe since May reflect this growing importance.
“As AI grows at a rate of 100-fold every decade, countries must join this journey or risk being left behind,” Huang stated. His next stop is to meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, with plans for Europe's significant AI push, where the EU aims to create AI factories handling over 100,000 AI chips each.
