An uplifting incident occurred during the ongoing World Senior Games in the Greater Taipei area. This morning (19th), at the 微風運河, a Japanese athlete, Sakura Invers, experienced an unexpected helmet malfunction right before participating in the canoe polo event. She needed a suitable replacement helmet immediately but couldn't find one.

Quickly, she sought help from the police on site. Officers Yu Dong-ju and Hong Cheng-feng from the Lu Zhou Police Station promptly returned to the station to grab necessary tools and rushed back to assist her. They succeeded in modifying the helmet to meet safety standards before the registration deadline, allowing Sakura to compete.

Sakura expressed her gratitude for the police's swift assistance, which showcased the warmth and friendliness of the Taiwanese people. The Lu Zhou Police reiterated their commitment to ensuring safety during the games and providing immediate assistance to athletes and spectators alike.
