Trump Demands Iran's 'Unconditional Surrender' as Vice President Vance Hints at Possible US Military Action

According to the Financial Times, US Vice President JD Vance stated that President Trump 'may decide to take further action' to stop Tehran's uranium enrichment. Subsequently, Trump called for Iran's 'unconditional surrender' on social media, declaring Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei an 'easy target.' Vance posted on social media platform X that Trump 'is only interested in using the military to achieve the goals of the American people,' but he added that the final decision belongs to the president.

After Vance's remarks, Trump warned Khamenei on his Truth Social platform, calling him an 'easy target.' He stated, 'We are not going to take him out, at least not now, but we do not want missiles directed at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is running thin.'

US officials noted that the White House has maintained a defensive posture in the conflict, assisting Israel in intercepting Iranian missiles and drones using US naval vessels. Should the US choose to intervene militarily, B-2 stealth bombers stationed at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean could target Iranian nuclear facilities.
