A released Ukrainian soldier was forced to bear the inscription 'Glory to Russia' on his body during his time in a Russian POW camp. Recently, a medical team has pledged to help him remove this cruel mark and restore his dignity. Reportedly, this soldier, who goes by the name 'Andrei,' endured torture and humiliation, resulting in this branding on his side.

Upon returning to Ukraine, he joined a national medical charity program called 'Неопалимі' (meaning 'Unburnable'), where he is receiving professional treatment. Dermatologists noted that the size and depth of his scar are significant, necessitating a phased approach to treatment, starting with laser technology to soften the scar tissue.

Experts indicated that laser treatment may cause pain for Andrei and will require multiple sessions. However, it is anticipated that his scar will fade to a faint trace over the coming months. Furthermore, the medical team is collaborating with psychological experts to provide counseling, helping Andrei cope with the trauma associated with his ordeal.
