International Yoga Day: Modi Celebrates Unity with Thousands

June 21 marks International Yoga Day, with people around the world practicing yoga in the streets. Indian Prime Minister Modi joined thousands to participate in yoga and emphasized during his speech that amidst the current global instability, yoga serves as a pause button, allowing humanity to breathe and regain balance.

During the annual International Yoga Festival, thousands gathered in Visakhapatnam, India, to celebrate, with Modi personally attending. He engaged with the crowd, warming up and practicing yoga on the ground. In his address, Modi highlighted that yoga points the way to peace in uncertain times and helps individuals let go of the ego, promoting global unity.

Additionally, in areas of Indian-administered Kashmir, search and rescue dogs joined in the yoga practice, drawing attention. Millions globally participated in yoga events, including gatherings in Malaysia, Zimbabwe, and New York's Times Square, where people sat on the ground to enjoy the benefits of yoga.
