President Lai's First Lecture: The CCP Has Never Owned Taiwan

President Lai Ching-te formally launched the "Ten Lectures on Unifying Taiwan" at a Rotary Club meeting in New Taipei, delivering a 45-minute speech focused on Taiwan's sovereignty. He emphasized that the People's Republic of China has never owned Taiwan and pointed out that UN Resolution 2758 does not pertain to Taiwan's sovereignty.
During the lecture, President Lai stated that the San Francisco Peace Treaty did not return Taiwan to the People’s Republic of China and provided historical evidence that Taiwan has never been part of China. Furthermore, he used a Taiwanese proverb to criticize the high unemployment rate among young people in China and highlighted Taiwan's advantages and independence.
President Lai expressed hope for political unity in the face of external threats, calling on the public to maintain a clear understanding of their national identity. The lecture concluded with resounding applause and support from the audience.
