This marked the rare public appearance of First Lady Ri Sol-ju, who returned after a year and a half, notably carrying a Gucci handbag, drawing significant attention.
Experts analyze that Ri Sol-ju's reduced public appearances aim to highlight the presence of her daughter, Kim Ju-ae, as a potential successor, while also showcasing a stable family image. Kim Jong-un frequently includes his daughter in events to appeal to the younger generation. Despite Ri Sol-ju's simple attire, her luxury Gucci bag stood out.
