Erosion of American Values: The Trump Administration and Global Market Turmoil

Since taking office, Trump has seen the gradual erosion of American spirit and values, with the concept of "American exceptionalism" becoming outdated. It has been replaced by "ABUSA," meaning Anywhere But USA, suggesting that investing outside the U.S. is now more appealing. This year, global stock markets have consistently outperformed U.S. stocks, with markets outside the U.S. reaching new highs last week while U.S. stocks continue to lag behind. This indicates a growing loss of confidence in the U.S. market, as exemplified by Moody's downgrade of its final 3A rating.

As the birthplace of rock music, America is also a symbol of American spirit. Legendary rock star "Worker Emperor" Bruce Springsteen, ignoring Trump’s threats, criticized the government at a concert in the UK, stating that America once stood as a beacon of freedom and hope, but the current government has betrayed this foundational spirit, turning a system meant to curb authoritarianism into a rogue government.

Moreover, Trump previously lambasted Kamala Harris's proposal to control grocery prices as communist and fascist; however, last Friday, Walmart, America's retail giant, announced price increases on certain products to reflect additional costs from tariffs, only to face public threats from Trump stating that Walmart should absorb those costs.
